The Filó Project is a free online tool developed to facilitate the teaching of Evolution and Phylogenetic Systematics, at both secondary and higher education levels. It allows cladograms to be built automatically — by typing a data matrix or by uploading a photo of an answer card —, integrating theory and practice in a way that is accessible to students and teachers alike. Developed at the Laboratory of Geosciences and Paleontology of the Federal University of Piauí (LGP/UFPI), Filó aims to make learning about the evolutionary history of life more interactive and intuitive.
Why Filó the cat? Well, because cats climb trees — because they can.
